Learning

Learning

1. I learn best when I am focused and when I am sitting with people who don't distract me.
I learn best in P.E because it's my favourite subject.

2. I have difficulty learning maths and science. I think this is because I'm not very good at doing things with numbers.

3. I would love to learn to be a paramedic, nurse or air force doctor but sadly I'm not very good at maths or science and I'm pretty sure they are the things I need to be one of these things so that's kinda annoying.

Algebra - Substitution

Algebra - Substitution

5 (p-q)   for p = 10 and q = 6

5 x (p-q) - Original Question
5 x (10 - 6) - Substituted Question
10 - 6 = 4 - Brackets Question
4 x 5 = 20 - Brackets times Original
5 (p-q) = 20 - Complete Answer

4ab + 8c   for a = 6, b = 5 and c = 7

4ab + 8c - Original Question
(4 x 6 x 5) + (8 x 7) - Substituted Question
4 x 6 x 5 = 120 - Part of Substitution
8 x 7 = 56 - Part of Substitution

120 + 56 = 176 - Complete Answer

139 - tuv   for t = 3, u = 10 and v = 4
139 - tuv - Original Question
139 - 3 x 10 x 4 - Substituted Question
3 x 10 x 4 = 120
139 - 120 = 19
139 - tuv = 19 - Completed Answer

=or p = 10 and q = 6

More Algebra

This week I have learnt how to do Exponents and Indices better. I now understand how to work the equations out. I can do maths really good now!👍

Algebraic Expressions

Algebraic Expressions

p + 13 means 13 more than p
10 x m means 10 times the amount of m

So far I have found Algebra fairly easy. I have only found that finding out the value of the letter is sometimes quite hard.

Working in Groups

Working in Groups

Group Norms
1. Listen to each other
2. Participate in you group
3. Be patient

Yesterday my group didn't work very well together.
We hardly followed any of the group norms and it was quite hard to stay focused.
But it was still okay I guess.
Hopefully it gets better as we go and I get a group that I can actually co-operate with.

One way to improve the group norms is to listen to each other more and actually participate.

One thing I'm grateful for is my family.

Reflecting On My Video Making

Week 7

What Did I Learn When Making My Video?

Our video is about peer pressure.
I learnt that being peer pressured is not a nice thing. It hurts a lot inside even if you can't see it on the outside. If it's something that you are peer pressured to do and you do not want to do it in any way then it's something hard to get over.

How Did This Help You To Understand Something About You or Someone Else?

It helped me understand that I am a very vulnerable person who probably has been peer pressured into something good that I liked but I don't think I have ever been peer pressured into something bad.

Math Drawing

Math Drawing

I found this a little bit confusing when I first started learning it but I found a easy way to work it out.

Do I Think It's Fair That The Government Only Pays Some Money/Funding For Autistic Students To Have Support In School?

Government Funding For Autistic Students

I don't think it is very fair that the government only pays some money for Autistic students to have support in school. Even though they are humans and they are still part of our lives, they do need more support than us without Autism. Wealthy family's could pay for their Autistic child to have support but it's a different story when you get a poverty-stricken family that needs more funding. That's where the government should come in. The government has enough money stored away to pay for many Autistic students to have support but they tend to spend it on less important things. Personally, I think that the government should pay for Autistic students to have support in school!
